Company

The Guido Marsella winery was established in 1990
in Summonte, a charming village nestled at the foot of the Partenio mountains.

It was the early 1990s when Guido decided to step away from the family business—which had been involved in asphalt production for over half a century—to take over an old family summer residence. His goal was to transform it into a winery, planting vineyards in an area where, until then, no one had even dared to consider such a venture.

Wines

The timing of the harvest is dictated by the grapes, which are picked strictly by hand when their characteristics are optimal.

Once harvested, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible, where the winemaking process begins, handled by a modern facility equipped with all the technology necessary to ensure a perfect production process.

TERRITORY

Wine is an expression of the territory, which determines its quality and character.

The territory of Summonte lies at an elevation of over 700 meters above sea level; thanks to its terrain, the area is home to chestnut, olive, and hazelnut groves, alongside specialized crops such as flax and, above all, mulberry.
